A job may take more steps.
A local model is not allowed to wander off and report work it never did.
A phone message is acknowledged first. A short one is answered in place. A long one is split into small steps, each in a fresh session, then checked. A path that is not in the task or in a tool result is rejected.
A skill is a directory. It loads when the message matches, instead of stuffing the whole shelf into every turn. Chat past the token mark is summarized. Requirements the user stated stay verbatim.
While the local server answers, that one resident model does the work. The fast tier and the main tier are two names on the same machine. When the server is down and a key is set, short judgments use grok-4-1-fast-non-reasoning and the task uses grok-build-0.1.
Replies follow the language of the message, Traditional Chinese or English. After the service starts, a loopback page tunes the knobs, sends a short test, and shows a scrubbed log. Versions live in the design notes. The running tree is 0.3.0: a status question is answered in place, and a home-directory scan is stopped. Switching on Grok Build does not switch on the Grok harness.
